"Stories About Stories"

Recently, I had a conversation with a friend of mine and he shared with me the why and what he thinks happened with another person related to our studies. I said, "I don't know and I don't care."

Some call it Gossip, some call it Concern, some call it Discernment, yet where there is judgment there is ego. It is a seductive draw into the projection against another. Self righteousness surges with "he said...." or "she did...." "I don't know about you, but I," pound chest, nose up, "wouldn't do that!!"

Really? How do they know they wouldn't? Same perceptions, same stories, same actions. The joke is that if it Bothers them, they are the same, looking for the mirror to prove them different, SEPARATE, better than. Like that saying, "one finger pointed at another, leaves 3 to point back at you."

What IS gossip, but stories about stories? Ever play the telephone game when you were younger? We sat in a circle and one person shared with another who passed it to another who shared with another until it came full circle back to the original author. Was it the same? EVER? NEVER. Stories about stories.

The Course says words are symbols of symbols. Speaking about another is telling stories about stories using symbols of symbols.

The door is visible now to experience the ONEness! On it appears the line, "let go of the illusions of illusions and come home."

As the door is approached the subtext is made clear. What is it?! In small print are the words, "but you must take the one you have stories about with you, leaving the stories behind."

The ego balks, "oh no, not 'them!'" And they try to open the door, but it is locked. "Yes them, especially them," says Love. "You must forgive."

How do they do that? By seeing that the stories they had about another were projections of their own attitudes and judgments about themselves and others in their past and they realize that they believed those things when they thought they were vulnerable, limited, guilty bodies.

Now that they see themselves as Soul, Love, Light, Truth, they realize nothing can actually change that and in effect, nothing really happened! Everything is either Love or a Call for Love and even a call for love is not real. Only Love IS. They look back on another, the one they believed the stories about rather than seeing them Truly. They see Love and the door swings open.
